MEDIA
Central Montana receives its news, sports and entertainment information from a variety of media outlets including newspaper, radio and television.
Newspaper
The motto at the Lewistown News-Argus is “Covering Central Montana Like the Stars.”
As the community newspaper of Central Montana, the News-Argus serves the communities of Lewistown, Moore, Grass Range, Denton, Stanford, Winifred, Hobson, Winnett, Judith Gap and Roy.
The local newspaper traces its history way back to Aug. 9, 1883. Since that time, it’s gone through a lot of name changes and owners, but the goal has remained the same: to provide our region with the most accurate, up-to-date news, sports and entertainment information, as well as serve as the best possible resource for local businesses to advertise their products and services.
The News-Argus publishes every Wednesday and Saturday, and is made up almost entirely of locally generated news.
In recent years, the News-Argus has begun exploring new ways of delivering news and advertising information. The newspaper’s web site went on-line in 1996 and the internet services offered to its customers continue to expand dramatically.
The News-Argus is located at 521 W. Main. The web site is http://www.lewistownnews.com/. The phone number is 800-879-5627 or 406-535-3401.
