Experience a Working Guest Ranch Much of the great charm of Central Montana is rooted in its many ranches on which the way of life has changed very little since the late 1800’s. Several of these offer unique opportunities to participate in, or just observe, life on a western cattle ranch. A characteristic of these ranches is an extremely broad set of activities, many of which can be customized to the interests of the guests. Horses are one focal point with activities ranging from basic instruction, to trail rides to multi-day cattle drives. Another focal point is full exploration of the natural environment with hikes, bird watching, photography and fishing common activities.
