Insert  (geneology-pattifarley.jpg)Hi, I’m Patti Farley, a fourth generation Fergus County native.  I currently serve as the publicity chair for the Central Montana Genealogy Society.  

Genealogy, a science of discovery, helps us research how we became who we are in the generational structure of our family.  The dictionary defines genealogy as the study of ancestry. 

The excitement and enthusiasm that follow finding a family member during a search is the beginning of a long and satisfying journey.  Finding answers to questions about the development of Insert  (geneo1.jpg)our personal family tree is the specialty of Central Montana Genealogy Society.Located in the upper level of the Lewistown Public Library at 701 Main Street, Lewistown, Montana, 59457, our main focus, with numerous resources, is families of Central Montana.  Open Monday through Friday from 1:00-4:00 P. M. every day that the library is open, the genealogy area is staffed by expert volunteers.

Insert  (geneo2.jpg)Newspaper information as far back as the 1884 can be retrieved by reader-printer machines.  Copies of these articles and other research information can be made available for a small fee to cover the cost of printing.
